Look Mom, I’m a DJ!

So, fiddling around with my iPhone while updating iTunes [iTunes 8.1 (50)] I came across a new feature I had not yet read about. I feel so out of touch with everything since I’ve been busy with work, and a few other personal stresses, I’ve neglected my normal “Tech Geekdom.” Anywho, the new update appears to be a major upgrade to the “Party Mix” playlist feature that’s been in iTunes for sometime now. It basically sets up a playlist on the fly based off of “most played” and “highest rated” tracks. Now you’re able to open up your iTunes DJ playlist to others via the “Apple Remote” app for iPhone and iPod Touch. You’ll need to make sure you have the latest version of both iTunes and the Apple Remote app on your iPhone/iPod Touch. After that you can easily configure your iTunes library to start listening to your friends requests for their favorite jams from their mobile devices (providing they’re connected to your WiFi network)! Mac|Life has a nice setup guide for both iTunes and iPhone/iPod Touch complete with pictures!!! Enjoy,
